This is a repost from February 2022. I made it through that surgery, however I still have vision issues in that eye. I ended up needing cataract surgery which improved the vision slightly. Despite this, I'm still giving God glory because with both eyes, I can see 20/20 for distance. Be blessed!
I'm sure you have heard this saying, "When it rains, it pours". This means a whole lot of things are happening to you all at once. Well, in my previous posts, I spoke about my asthma, breathing, and lung issues. I continue to praise God because it could be worse. I finally found the cause of it which is an infection. Thank God for CT scans and MDs who can correctly diagnose you. I believe the beginning of the end is near - thank the Lord.
Well, to add more to it, I went to my Retina eye appointment and found out that I have a hole in the macula of my right eye and will need surgery. I was like, "Lord, what else"? Well, again the Lord said, "I will not give you more than you can handle". So obviously I can handle this. Then I began to look at this whole surgery thing in another light.
Sometimes when the Lord tells us to rest, we think we are resting. We sleep, don't do as much as we normally do. Sometimes, that is not enough. God sometimes have to MAKE us rest. For me, it's not going to work for two weeks. This surgery will require me to be "face down" at least 45 minutes of every hour. That means I can't be on the computer, can't look at the television, can't do any major housecleaning, etc. I have to just sit, be still, or maybe read/look at things on a tablet. Although having surgery will be uncomfortable and the aftercare inconvenient, God is using it to MAKE me rest and spend more time with Him. So, thank God for the rain. Thank God for the pouring rain because it will water the seeds within me and grow into something God can get the glory from.
Are you going through a rainy season in your life? God will see you through. Have a blessed week!
