P.S.L. - Week 88 - Just Plain Ole Tired

Updated: Jan 6

This is a repost from February 2022. Although it was something I went through then, it still resonates whenever I'm going through a test or trial. Be blessed!

I don't know about you, but there are times when I'm just plain ole tired. I'm tired physically and tired of standing. You may ask what I mean by this? You know, just tired of the trials, tests, and whatever situations I may go through. There are times when I just want to give up and cry. As you have read my previous blogs, I've been going through a situation in which I'm having difficulty with my breathing and my body is just tired (not COVID). The Lord spoke that I needed rest in which I did and am doing. He's giving me strength day by day. However, at times, or at least this week, I just told the Lord, "I'm just tired of this and just want to be better", " I just want this over". I'm sure I'm not the ONLY one who goes through this... JUST PLAIN OLE TIRED! It is at that time when the Lord steps in and encourages us and specifically me. He tells me that, "His strength is made perfect in my weakness". He tells me, "to keep standing, for joy comes in the morning". He tells me, "I'm with you always". These are comforting words from the Lord and it gave me a boost of faith and endurance. One thing I realize is that God will not give me or you more than we can handle. Of course we may think what we are handling is too much and that we can't bear it any more. But God knows EXACTLY what we can handle. It's only afterwards we realize, "Yes, I was able to handle it". Although I'm still in the situation, God gave me some spiritual strength to help me to endure. I know the end is near and I will be feeling better. Until then, I will continue to stand, praise God for it and know He will bring me through. Are you going through any test, trials, or temptations that you want to be over because you're just plain ole tired? Give it to God! Trust Him and He will give you the strength you need to endure. Comment below your thoughts and feelings.
