P.S.L. - Week 62 - Fears Part 2

Writer: Pamela Johnson 96Pamela Johnson 96

As believers, we know that if we have any fears, we are to cast them over to God. Sometimes, the "casting" is hard to do. We like to take control of it ourselves. When we try, then we realize that it can be overwhelming. It's at that point, we decide to give it over to Jesus. In my last post, I talked about the "Orkin Man". He was the one who was to help with getting rid of mice in my house. I did what I knew to do before contacting him. What did the "Orkin Man" do? He told me that I'm doing what I'm supposed to do. I just needed to be patient. He told me that I should get the old wooden traps as they work better. But all in all, I was "doing a great job".

When we've been in the Word and know what to do, sometimes we do it but do it afraid. We go to God and ask for help and He tells us to be patient and continue in the direction we're going. Of course, we want things to happen right away. We don't want to wait because we want it over NOW. The best thing we can do is to continue to walk in the direction of God's Word by first giving everything over to Him and then walk in it. WE have to do something. We have to put down the "traps" so to speak and then be patient. Although we may still be afraid, we still must walk in that direction. Sometimes, we may need others to come alongside of us to keep us focused or even help out at when needed.

So, do you have any fears, worries, anxieties, trials, or tribulations? Give it to God. Read His Word to know you're part in handling it. When He tells you what to do, continue to do it even if afraid. Be patient because the end will come. Have a blessed week!
