P.S.L. - Week 20 - Should I Give Up?

There are times when we pray for something or someone and it seems like nothing is happening. You remember my plant? In all appearances, it is dead! Despite the way it looks, I'm going to keep talking to it and watering it. I believe there's still some type of life in it as the stem is not totally falling over. Just like my plant, we may feel like we did all we can do and the situation looks dead. Maybe we have under watered or over watered the seed and it appears dead. Sometimes we just want to give up, let it die, and then start all over.

We need to do what I'm doing for my plant for the seed we planted in others' lives and in our lives. The person may be going in the opposite direction in what we prayed for. The situation in our lives seems to be getting worst. In all appearances, the seed is dead. However, in order for the seed to spring forth, it must die first (1 Corinthians 15:36). So let it die! That doesn't mean we just give up on it. We must continue to pray and walk by faith even when we don't see it. Then when the time is right, God will allow that seed to spring forth and live.

So, NO, don't give up! Keep on standing, keep on praying, keep on giving God thanks, and keep on planting and watering that seed and God will turn it around. Have a blessed week!
